Born in Lleida in 1981, Joan Pere Rosello finishes his music studies at the Conservatori Professional de Musica in Lleida,
in the speciality of Clarinet, in 2001. Two years later, he gets his BA in English Studies at Universitat de Lleida.
In 2004
he starts a Master in English Literature (Eighteenth Century) at Open University (United Kingdom) which he completes on december 2006 with the dissertation "Female Self-Representation and Views of the World in Frances Burney’s Evelina, Mary Wollstonecraft’s Mary: A Fiction and Mary Hays’ Memoirs of Emma Courtney", available here.
Joan has also obtained secondary degrees, such as the First Certificate in English and the Certificate of Proficiency in English awarded by the University of Cambridge and the D Level (the highest) in Catalan by the Direcció de Política Lingüística.
As a musician, he is a member of Lleida's fanfare orchestra (Banda Municipal de Lleida) since it's foundation in 1996. He has also been a guest musician for both the orquestra simfònica and orquestra de vent del Conservatori de Lleida, as well as the Fanfareorkesten den Riesa and the Symphonic Orchestra of Heidelberg (Germany), the Symphonic Band of Helsingborg (Sweden) and the Banda Municipal de Bellpuig (Spain). He has also been a member of the Cobla Municipal de Lleida. Nowadays he is the conductor of a little fanfare orchestra named Banda de Vent de l'Acadèmia and he also conducts the clarinet quartet named Quartet Klosé in the Acadèmia de les Arts Musicals in Lleida, Spain. In 2008 he creates the web My clarinet as a reference site for clarinet players and music lovers.
